ABParking is the only company with cruise car parking facilities within the Southampton port estate for passengers of Celebrity Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Lines, Fred. Olsen, MSC, NCL, Royal Caribbean & Saga Cruises
Parking for all other cruise lines that operate from the port cannot be booked through ABParking and further information should be obtained from the booking agent or the cruise line
ABParking do not offer cruise car parking for P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess Cruises, their cruise car parking provider is Cruise & Passenger Services - please contact them directly on 0345 071 3939
The car parking service on offer for each cruise call will depend on the cruise line operator and the departure & arrival terminal
We offer three different pre-bookable & chargeable car parking products within our secure port estate, which include:
i) Terminal Long Stay Car Parking
ii) Meet & Greet Long Stay Car Parking
iii) Shuttle Service Long Stay Car Parking
For those customers who are Blue Badge holders we have a limited number of car park spaces in our dedicated Blue Badge car park that must be booked & paid in advance of the sailing date
The Short Stay car parks within the Port Estate are "Pay On The Day" facilities and are chargeable on entry into the car park - these car parks are licenced to 3rd party operators by Associated British Ports
Long Stay Car Parks are located in the Western Docks and are accessed by either Dock Gate 8 or 10. The Car Parks are directly adjacent to the City Cruise Terminal and Horizon Terminal
This is a dedicated service for ABParking customers only.
The shuttle car parks are a 3 minute complimentary coach or minibus journey within the port to either City Cruise Terminal, Horizon Cruise Terminal or Mayflower Cruise Terminal.
There will be a 5 to 10 minute complimentay coach or minibus journey for Ocean Cruise Terminal or QEII Cruise Terminal.
For passengers returning from their cruise, the complimentary coach or minibus service will be available again to transfer passengers and their luggage back to their cars in the shuttle car park
There are dedicated blue badge car park located directly adjacent to the City Cruise Terminal and Horizon Cruise Terminal
Spaces should be pre-booked & paid for prior to the sailing date and are subject to availability
The blue badge, along with the parking permit, must be displayed clearly in the car windscreen on arrival in the port
Once the vehicle is parked in the blue badge car park, the blue badge should be removed from the vehicle and retained by the holder throughout the duration of the cruise
There are short stay car parks located at all four cruise terminals in Southampton which are chargeable based on the duration of your stay and charges are immediately applicable on entry to the car park
The car parks are licenced & operated by a 3rd party and all drivers of vehicles entering these car parks should follow the instructions at the Pay & Display machines to ensure the correct charges are applied
ABParking do not operate these car parks and have no responsibility for any penalty notices issued
Due to COVID-19 Normal Cancellation Terms Suspended - If your cruise line cancels your cruise - ABParking will issue a full refund (*)
You can access your account to make your cancellation by visiting Manage my Booking (top right corner) using your booking reference and email address used at the time of booking.
Once cancellation has been made you will receive a confirmation email to confirm the amount of refund issued.
Refunds will be received in to account within 14 working days.
(*) non-refundable Postal fee of £1 taken at the time of booking if applicable.
We encourage all passengers to book in advance of their sailing date to secure a guaranteed car parking reservation either by using our website or by telephone
If however you wish to pay on the day of your cruise an ABParking car parking representative will be available to take your payment, subject to a car parking space being available
During the busy summer months of July - Sept & during the school holiday periods the port receives exceptionally high levels of bookings and early bookings is highly recommended as our facilities do sell.
Payment can be made by debit or credit card
Please be aware that it is more expensive to pay on the day than when booking in advance
If you need to amend the car registration details you have provided, please make your changes using the Manage My Booking facility on the website.

Changes to vehicle registration details are always made free of charge
Our on-site car parks are operated by the owners of the Port of Southampton with dedicated facilities used only by cruise passengers. They are locked when not in use.
ABParking cruise car parks have been awarded the 'Park Mark' safer parking award & for further information please visit the Park Mark website
Please note that all vehicles and personal items are left at the owners risk
The availability of porters to assist with luggage depends on the Cruise Line. In 2021 enhanced protocols have been implented to mitigate risks associated by Covid_19 and encourage all passengers to handle their own luggage where possible. Where not possible please follow the principal of Hands, Face, Space.
It is the responsibility of all passengers to unload their personal possessions from their vehicles
Porters may be in all car park to take care of cabin luggage and staff will be available to provide guidance as needed.
Please retain in your possession passports, cruise tickets & hand luggage
Trolleys are provided for passengers wishing to take their own luggage through to the cruise terminal
The cruise line will arrange for passenger cabin luggage to be discharged from the ship and will be available for collection by passengers in the cruise terminal
Trolleys will be available in the Baggage Hall
Space permitting we do permit passengers to park vehicles other than a standard size car, however this would need to be arranged in advance and is subject to availability. Please call or email our team if this is required at email@example.com or Telephone: 02380 488870 during core operating hours
An additional charge will apply to vehicles taking up more than one standard car parking space
There are no height restrictions applied to any vehicle
All car parks operated by ABParking are situated in open air secure compounds located within the Southampton Port Estate
For Terminal Long Stay, Terminal Blue Badge and Shuttle car parking, passengers park their own vehicles and retain their car keys throughout the duration of their cruise
For all Meet and Greet car parking, passenger car keys are retained securely by ABParking throughout the duration of the cruise - on returning to the port an ABParking representative will be available on the ships arrival to return the vehicle keys to the driver
ABParking do not charge an administration fee for cruise car parking reservations
There is no charge for using a debit or credit card
All major credit and cards are accepted with the exception of American Express
During the payment process whilst speaking to an operator you will be transferred to a secure payment line to enter your details
When making an online booking you will be transferred to SagePay, where your payment will be processed through their secure payment portal
ABParking do not hold or retain customer credit or debit card details

Following receipt of the lead name passenger details and confirmation of the booking, a confirmation e-mail with the ABParking reference number will be emailed
Passengers that request a car parking permit be sent via e-mail will have this attached to their confirmation e-mail
If the car parking permit is to be forwarded by post this will be despatched at least 4 weeks before the sailing date of the cruise
Please review your emails closely for correspondance from ABParking prior to leaving for you cruise. With regular updates to government advice we may provide updated information about your parking and directions closed to your departure date.

ABParking has a designated Blue Badge Holder car park which must be booked and paid in advance but is subject to availability
Mobility scooters and wheelchairs can be unloaded but are subject to the guidelines issued by each cruise line. Please contact your agent/cruise line for specific information.

For selected cruise lines we offer meet and greet car parking for their cruise calls
Certain cruise calls do not depart and return to the same terminal and in these instances a meet & greet service might be offered
For the convenience of our cruise passengers we provide meet and greet car parking to ensure a smooth start and end to the holiday
On arrival at the port, passengers are directed to the drop off area adjacent to the cruise terminal
Once the passengers have unloaded their personal baggage from the vehicle, porters can support the transfer of the cabin luggage to security and for transfer to the assigned cabin on board
Passengers should retain their hand luggage with personal medication, passport & cruise tickets for check in
A representative of ABParking will then check the vehicle condition and will arrange to retain the car keys at a secure location - once completed passengers can proceed directly to the embarking cruise terminal
On arriving back to the port the car keys will be available from a member of our staff in a designated pre-arranged location
On disembarkation from the ship, passengers should collect their luggage from the terminal and will be directed to their vehicles which will be parked in a car park a short walk from the terminal
Passengers can be dropped off with their luggage directly outside the cruise terminal in a designated area
Waiting is prohibited in this area and therefore the driver will be required to move on immediately once the passengers and their luggage are clear of the vehicle
If the driver would like more time during the drop off period we would suggest parking in the short stay car park but these car parks are chargeable on entry and operated by a 3rd party operator - please follow the instructions for payment clearly displayed on the "Pay & Display" machines located in the car park
Some cruise calls do not depart and return to the same cruise terminal in the Port of Southampton and in these instances Meet & Greet Parking may be offered.
To provide a seamless journey we offer a Meet & Greet service as passenger vehicles will need to be moved by a representative of ABParking in order to be available at both the departure & arrival terminals. Vehicles will be parked securely on the Port Estate for the duration of the Cruise.
Highways England is upgrading the M27 between junction 4 (M3 interchange) and junction 11 at Fareham, into a smart motorway. Smart motorways are a technology driven approach to tackling the most congested parts of the network. They increase capacity and improve journey reliability, by controlling the flow and speed of traffic and providing driver information displayed on signs.
Construction has now started, and the scheme will be completed by spring 2021. There will be traffic management in place along the M27 between junctions 4 and 11 throughout this time, so we advise road users to plan their journey in advance by visiting the Traffic England website: www.trafficengland.com or by following our Twitter feed: @HighwaysSEAST.
